I've been on such a boost/od kick lately it's not even funny. Although it is cheaper (kinda) then amp gas. I've got a trade worked out for a keeley baked mod ts9. From everything I've checked out about it seems to be killer going into a clean amp and I'm gonna use it for that at home. But any experience hitting the front of a Marshall with one as a semi-clean boost (I understand this pedal doesn't really go completely clean)? I'm using my sd-1 level max, drive 9 o'clock right now, plus my surreal more pedal. Sometimes I combine the two with lower setting on each too. Not looking to replace those just add a tubescreamer in the mix. I can't find any info on it boosting a dirty amp.

All I use them for is kicking them on into an already gained amp. It's my lead tone. KILLER pedal for that use. I don't really prefer a TS-9 into a clean amp. Some do, but it doesn't work for me. For me, TS-9's are lead pedals. The Keeley is great. I have three.
I won't show up to any show, jam or recording session without my Baked TS-9.

A TS-9 with 3 times the gain and more low end? How can you lose?!

Cool dude, I'm thinking about using it with the sd-1 or the more pedal, have either one of them on all the time and kick on the keeley for leads. It seems like it does the real violin like liquidy lead thing from what I read. You find it goes better into the other od or after it for that result? I

Not a fan of the baked mod, sounds a bit buzzsaw to me. Ever consider a Maxon OD808? Brilliant clean booster for rock or metal.

Had one and liked it a bunch. I just got interested in the baked because I got a trade offer. I had both an od9 and 808 actually, both are killer pedals.

Hmmm......not my experience at all. Of course I run it into a Fulldrive II Mosfet with a Stratocaster and a JTM45. I can pile on a TON of gain and it's clean and glassy.
