I keep getting bounced off here in about an hour on my iPhone after two stage log in, the "trust this device for 30 days" box checked. Twice today. Same happened on iPad a few times too. Ideas ???

The 2FA stuck? I mean, you could log in "normally" those subsequent times?

I've never been bounced here but I've also never used a 'phone.

No I mean I do the 2FA dog and pony show, click the box to remember this device for 30 days, then if I exit and then go back here I have to log in again, and go through 2FA PITA again…agree with why it’s there but for fucks sake

@nero Nico, I wonder if this problem is related to the one my cousin's experiencing, only in his case he's turned 2FA off.

Same requirement to use 2FA every login. :dunno:
Same thing with my iPad now. Maybe its an iOS thing ? but both of them are requiring a new login despite 30 day box checked. I haven't changed anything

Sounds possibly like either a network issue (vpn, mobile network changes, etc..) An example would be traveling from one location to another and having the IP change because of it, changing between VPN servers/local node issues caused by updates/maintenance or basic session data issue (cookie/cache, even time and date, with the latter probably the most often overlooked due to being more of an uncommon event). Also, using multiple devices should always trigger the 2FA when changing sessions between more than one device whether 30 day is enabled or not unless the hosting software settings are specific to only the IP and not mac/uai.

May also want to try disabling any browser extensions/plugins as they can be finicky. Even the popular ones. A lot of them lean towards dealing with common events that concern themselves more with popular sites. Just because 2FA is disabled on someone's account, doesn't mean that the server and the device are sync'd or that the server dropped the requirement. Also, if you're using an authenticator application it may not be compatible (or vice versa) with the current hosting software version. Try a more common one or none at all.

TL;DR? I would start with clearing cache (while not on the forum) followed by a device reboot before trying to log back in, followed by trust this device, log out and log back in without doing anything other than those specific steps.

Hey all. I'm on iPhone with 2FA activated and I'm almost never logged out. I suspect that either you're in private browsing mode or have a setting to disallow cookies. Cookies are harmless and needed to retain information necessary to be kept logged in between sessions.

Some browser privacy or adblock extensions can have the same impact.
