hey everyone,
is there anything out there that's a "universal" design to help keep 9V adapters attached to the back of Power Conditioners?

Thanks

Power strip attached to the case somewhere with the wall warts zip tied around the power strip or the furman plug lock attached to the case.

Gaffers tape over the wall wart, attach tape to the top of the power conditioner and bottom, should hold it in place without much of an issue, difficult to swap on the fly though.

Also have seen people attach a block of wood to their rack that presses up against the back of the wall warts to hold them in place, but this is a bit more permanent and a pain in the ass to deal with if you need to swap anything around.

Zip ties and those little plastic "anchor" things, one on top of each outlet, another on the bottom.

In the past I've seen Rig Builders just use L-Brackets from the Big Box/Lowes type stores to hold them in.

I got a little 6" extension cord from a computer store and plug that into my rack strip. The regular ass three prong plug fits great and snug, and doesn't block the neighbor sockets, and I tape the wall wart to the dongle and let it dangle.

I'll try this.. I have all those pieces.

thank you everyone for the responses. I'll try the zip ties and the stick on anchors. If that doesnt work, I'll look into the L-brackets.

Thanks

Here's how I did it...

Niiiice. What are those little plastic bits from or what are they called?
I don't have a part number, but they are generally called "mounts". The brand is Hellermann Tyton and they are commonly used for securing network wire bundles in data centers (among other things). Electrical supply distributors carry them...

Do you have a close up picture of them on their own you can take/share?

Thanks

I don’t, but it’s a square of plastic with a loop on top that the Zip tie passes through and there’s ultra sticky tape on the bottom that you use to stick it to the power conditioner. I’ve seen them at Staples, they’re black. Rig builders use them all the time for routing any kind of cord (instrument, power, etc)

I could be wrong, but I think you're referring to the square self-adhesive mounts that are used for bundling cables, as shown in the picture of my FC-12 pedal board. Those work great where there is minimal stress, but I personally wouldn't trust them to anchor a heavy item like a wall wart.

The "mounts" I used are screw type, so you can securely fasten them with metal, wood or machine screws (with nuts/washers). The hole is also perfectly sized for using them on a rack rail (see previous pictures). I took some close-up photos. It's whatever you're comfortable with, but this has worked well for me...
