A prayer delivered by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth during a Pentagon worship service Wednesday has viewers wondering whether he referenced the Bible — or a line made famous by a Quentin Tarantino movie

Hegseth, who previously prayed for "overwhelming violence" during a prayer service, appeared to paraphrase a line better known from "Pulp Fiction" than from scripture.

It’s cool how the people who control the US government right now just openly take it as a personal attack when the Pope says something like “God will not reward evil men”

I dunno, he's saying at a time and place i.e western europe, when it's popular to do so. Easy brownie points. It's not like he's risking martyrdom.

I've already commented extensively on Trump's apparent spiritual blindness. Regardless, it's a commandment to pray for the authorities and armed forces.

Which commandment?

Not a commandment.
Not one of the ten commandments, if that's how you are taking it. There are 613 commandments in the old testament, and quite a few more in the new testament. The one I gave is 100% among those i.e it is commanded.

Not by God though, just by some rando named Tim.
Might as well listen to the raving dude on the street corner. "It is commanded" lol

I'm guessing you don't believe the one's supposedly given to Moses by God either. Regardless, in the bible it is given as a commandment.

My guess is you disagree with praying for your enemies, and those who persecute you. Well I'm sorry to inform you, orthodoxy challenges our preconceived notions. I realized it under that Biden. He's a moron, but I am commanded to pray for him because he was in a position of authority in the land that I dwell. This is why it's been part of liturgy for 2000 years.

They told the Pope he doesn’t understand the Bible and then they quoted Pulp Fiction.
🤣😂🤣😂😅

Sorry Donnie, the Pope is crushing you in popularity:

“It is a blowout in the net popularity ratings. It’s not even close. It’s a nearly 50 point blowout amongst the American public at large. Pope Leo XIV absolutely crushing Trump when it comes to how popular they are.”
