I'll bite. The 2nd is the FAS one. I do really like both, so I voted for that on the poll.

Cheers! I like them both as well. I'll reveal shortly which is which.

Both sound great but I will say the Kemper is the second clip. Drew makes some killer profiles!!!

You have got some killer chops brother!

Thanks man!

I lean towards the first clip in the room, but recorded I like the 2nd a bit better. The lead sound on #1 I like better than the 2nd. I think both would sound good mixed. I should caveat this with the fact that NEITHER of these were tweaked from their original profiled sound. These are "as-is"

Still interested in some other folks thoughts.

I am REALLY surprised how good some of the Fractal sounds have been profiled for the Kemper.

2nd sound like Ax as I swear I hear the IR.

Plus the first sound like it has better playing dynamics, 2nd sound a bit choked.

Edit: Great playing!

Yeah, Chris made some killer profiles from the FAS. Drew has made some great stuff too.

Yeah I snagged all the ones from Chris. I'll have some fun with those this weekend for sure.

Gawd Damn dude! Layin it down!

Which guitar did you use for this one?

I say 1st is kemper
Both are face melters though

I have an Axe and I can't tell. So I voted, like 'em both. I play the AFX nearly everyday and have for the past several years, anyone who thinks it has some kind of "signature" has a hole in their head (I'm sure this is true for the KPA). So, I assume that here everyone is saying whichever one they like the least is the AFX.

Anyway, there is certainly nothing I am hearing in either clip that says modeler and there is no way I would have known it was not a traditional rig in either case. So, good job in that sense.

Some of the FAS models are profile worthy if you are a Kemper owner. The Brit Brown and FAS Modern II & III are fantastic.

Thanks man! I used my Mammoth Custom San Dimas.

LOL! This made me laugh, and it's funny, I posted this elsewhere and people kind of had that reaction which surprised me.

I think both tones are solid. I have my preferences but will happily use both for certain things. I got about 50 FAS profiles from a guy on the Kemper forum "Chris O" - every amp model I believe and they all sound great IMHO.

Ok …

Well, the BIG reveal!

#1 is FRPC' profile, #2 is the FAS profile.

Crap. Got to the dance late. I was going to say the 1st was FRPCs profile, only because of my own experience with both profiles.

FRPCs profile is awesome, but i think the bass is a little tame compared to what the nitro sounds a feels like with flat eq. The FAS profile is nice, but misses the huge immediate low end thump the Nitro actually has.

Yeah. FRPC's feels great through a power amp and cab and I'm pretty pleased with it for leads. The FAS profile tracks well for rhythms. I have yet to play a Nitro in person. Love my Quick Rod though.

Wow!!!! Great clips!!!
Thanks!

Interested. I voted that number 1 was the Axe FX, because my gut feel was that "hey... maybe the Axe IS better than the Kemper after all?" and I was completely wrong!

I liked the 2nd one a lot better. The first one sounded kinda glassy in the highs.
