The tone really is pretty much spot on! I would say, however, to watch your timing as it was noticeably off in various places with the drum track :)

Mike

Yeah, I am getting hammered on more then one site due to the slight timing issue. Tells me I am never going to post anything again unless its perfect. I didn't expect the kind of reaction I have gotten. At least everyone likes the tone!

Dude, the playing was great. Don't stop posting. That solo is a tough one. Just take it constructively. Timing is tough no matter what you play. I thought it was a killer clip and I am looking forward to more.
I will echo Chad's sentiment here - don't stop posting. The comments are definitely meant constructively, and it IS a very tough song and solo. I'm sure Jake had a click track going in his ear when he recorded it originally.

Timing is an easy thing to hear when you're not playing, and a tough thing for all of us to get perfect when we are playing. We are just having your back, that's all.

Thanks guys... I appreciate it. I will be posting more for sure. I have to get this studio thing secure so I can profile my own stuff. I can't wait to get my Friedman Brown Eye and Scumback Blackbacks profiled!

Just for the record... this was a seriously tough song to try to pull off! LOL Very much a challenge.

I have a backing track to Paul Gilberts Scarified that I want to record with. There will be some serious practicing for that!

Wow, you have some serious stones (and chops!) to try and tackle anything by Gilbert. Best of luck, and I can't wait to hear it!

Definitely meant constructively btw. Rhythm and playing in time is just something that is so important in sounding good. Be honest with yourself listening back to your recordings and if you know you can get it tighter - go for it!

Keep it up, dude.

Yeah, that will be one that I multitrack the whole thing. I will do one part at a time. Playing it front to back... well thats something that will take a while to really nail! LOL But hey, its going to be fun... and thats what its all about.

I recorded Technical Difficulties a number of years ago when I was in college and I practiced all the time... to Paul Gilberts instructional VHS no less! LOL Now I don't have a VHS player that works. Thank god for youtube huh? LOL

Nice playing and cool tone...I dug it! The little timing snafus will work themselves out...don't sweat it

Tough, I'm seriously considering going digital (either axe or kemper...). You're making this decision tough.

I would of never believed it till I tried it man. I have always been a classic tube amp kind of guy. I am not using this thing to gig BTW. I am recording with it. I don't gig actually. I just like to play my favorite music at home.
