Kemper - V/Rad Studios - Bad KISS Vocals!!!

Been wanting to do this for a good while. I will CERTAINLY be redoing the vocals. Need to adjust a lot but I still had fun.

The profiles are from our boy Vlad at V/Rad Studios. They are his JCM800 profiles.

I have a much more modern version with more "metal drums/guitars/bass sounds but I wanted this one to be as close to the original as possible. I'll post both when vox are fixed this week!

LOL! I don't know about all that but thanks! He is my FAVORITE rock singer of all time. If I could steal anyones voice, it would be his. Scratchy in the right way and a much higher range than you'd expect.

I really dug that! To be honest it is the whole performance and not just the tone. Well done. Really reminds you of how great a rock band KISS was in the day and how much better Ace was then people give him credit for. He def. added something to the whole vibe.

Is that standard tuning or Eb? Do you ever sing on other people's tunes btw? I could totally use a versatile voice like that on some stuff I have been working on.

Thanks man! I grew up on KISS, and Alive! is what made me want to rock in the first place. Got it and Hotter Than Hell on vinyl when I was in 2nd grade. Tuning is Eb.

I have not yet, but would certainly sing on other peoples stuff. Me, Michi and Vlad are working on something currently, but I would be thrilled to do stuff with other folks, not matter what it is. I did everything on the clips I post. I'm getting sick of playing with myself.

My drummer from another band are recording a bunch of our old faces and metaling them up a bit. I actually have a heavier version of this song I am finishing.

So weird thing about the Kemper. I thought the same thing. But then I got into profiling and I'm back to getting amps lol

Between you, Top Jimi, xRay and Premier I almost don't care about profiling my own amp anymore!
