Got infatuated with the headless kiesel vader model... but does anybody who owns a vader can tell me their necks, fretboard and fretwire work? Is it top notch quality flawless workmanship?

You should do a search. Some folks really like them and others have straight up horror stories to share.

But what kinda horror stories are there? Care to explain abit? Thanks alot

As Oblivion stated, just do a creative google search about Kiesel issues and use your best judgement.

I can't speak for the Vader model, but I had an absolute horrible experience with a new Aries 6 Kiesel build a while back. From a play-ability standpoint, the guitar was utter shit, and the customer service at every level of the company was the worst I've experienced in my 42 years. After a bit of a fight with them, they took it back and refunded me.

I'd never buy another one of their products and don't recommend them at all. For the record, I was a pretty big Carvin fanboy, still love my ST300c, but Kiesel.....Never Again!

Too many other companies out there offering beautiful instruments for similar prices but that build a guitar correctly & aren't shady as fuck.

That was my experience however, and there are many here and on other forums that have had great experiences. Do the research before taking the plunge.

I have the Chris Letchford headless model, guitar is flawless and plays great. My customer service experience has been nothing but great as well, they always answered my questions within an hour and helped me with specs. Their necks are super comfortable, fretboards just get your favorite wood and they offer pretty much any radius, and fretwire they have nickel, stainless, and the evo gold in any size you prefer.

I would reccomend just don't go over the top specing a $3,000 guitar, keep it simple so you can have a 10 day return trial and see if it's for you.

I just got my 4th kiesel in this past Thursday. it is flawless just like my others and plays fantastic. for a first build, id suggest what ibzprestige did, and say don't go overboard that way you have a return period just in case it isn't what you are hoping it is.

FWIW, my AM7 is amazing. I'm getting another later this year
I thought it was setup great as-is, but I broke the hi e 2x in the last couple of months, whereas I haven't broken a string on other guitars 2x in 10 years. Probably needs a look by my tech, but this is nitpicking

I seem to remember more issues about the Vader line? Something about the bridge or "dead wood" complaints

I got one about 6 months ago. A VM7. It's flawless and I haven't put it down in the time I've had it. My other guitars are gathering dust at the moment. I ordered a DCM7 a few weeks ago.

Thanks guys ! For the input... think i will proceed to getta V6 on order... cause am from overseas and i dont think the 10 day trial is going to help..... i heard the issue of a kiesel customer having poor feedback and bad experience on one side and think it has gone personal for the kiesel crew to have it setup that bad... from a buyer point of view it just sucked... but from a tech savy point of view its just a 2 cent thingy where the setup can be done perfectly in just an hour fix.... nothing in particular none other than the poor setup long as its a flawless build... means to say from the fret dress to the fretboard seams thats glued to the neck, the bookmatch top seam is detailed properly to the quality of inlays and the quality of wood used...

I will give it a try thou... but the thing is kiesel 4A flame top isnt as pure sex... am topping up few hundreds more for a notch sexier on the flame top thou....

I ordered an A6, great, great guitar. plays excellent and sounds good.

I owned two. Dead spots on 8th and 9th fret on both. Overall bad sustain on the G string. Horrible tinny tone. Worst sounding guitar I have ever played.
The workmanship was okay. I still have the sound files...
Buy a Yamaha Pacifica 112. It's a better sounding guitar.

I have owned over 10 guitars from this company before the name change and after. It all looked amazing and played pretty well. My biggest concern however with the pick ups were pretty lifeless. Even the new lithiums were OK but after time sounded a bit sterile to me. Customer service has been hit or miss. Some of my ordering went really well some of it sounded like I was actually bothering them even though I never had a lot of different questions.

That being said, I probably won't ever buy another one of their guitars unless it was use that a good deal.

Don't get me started on those Lithium Pickups.
I'm not some kind of elitist that needs the best stuff that money can buy, actually quite the opposite, but Kiesel is quite far from building a decent sounding guitar.

I had a killer 6 string vader, played and looked amazing, killer build quality. Hated the PUPS, swapped with anderson's and it was really good after that.

I wasn't sure about the Lithiums, but I really like them. I was actually surprised how good they sounded to me. But they're not for everyone. They're very clear and articulate so some may find them sort of sterile or bright or something. I dig them.
