Just to let people that don't know Dan's Killer Kali++ uses no diode clipping, the gain channel uses three gain stages and instead of diode clipping the Violence mode (added 4th gain stage) is foot switchable into the circuit. The amp has clean channel, gain channel with foot switchable dual masters, and foot switchable Violence mode (4th stage). Also has series and parallel loop
No need for any diode clipping in the Killer Kali++ mod. The extra tube gain stage adds more gain/saturation than the diodes could, and it sounds bigger/meaner this way too.

My Cali++ has the 4th stage (switchable) as well as 2 different sets of clipping diodes that are also switchable. One set is more raw and open, the other is smoother and slightly more compressed. Dan is right, you dont need them with the 4th gain stage

Not only does the 4th gain stage have a lower noise floor, but one of the best things about it is that there's no volume drop when engaged. The diodes cut the output volume lower, which can be an issue for some guys that gig and can't always mic up their cab.
