His is actually a Fender case, but they no longer make them due to a lawsuit... The original is likey one of these: http://scottdixoninc.com/ They look fantastic, I'd love to have one myself.

ironheart 120 costs 750e where I live. compared to a mark 5 which goes for about 3000eur, a 6505 which is 1200e new, dual rectifier which is 2700e and diezels which are usually around 3300e-3500e I consider the ironheart cheap.. :)

Price doesn't mean shit ! Too many amps are overpriced. 6505+ is a staple in industry and is way less than other brands. The iron heart has terrific tone.

After over 6 months with my Gemini, it is still the best amp I own.

It has more versatility with 3 great distinct modes, clean, crunch, HG. The high gain is MKIIC liquid, and I have a MKIIC next to it to compare to.

Glad to see the brand doing well.

At 5 months from purchase, I actually got a follow text from Kyle. Pretty amazing.

That band has always had good tone, no matter what amps they play they always sound great live. Hell, I saw them back in 2001 when Adam was still playing drum and Joel had just the SLO100 and the ibanez universe 7 string that he used to play. From the first note I knew I was going to like that band.

Recorded sounds though after end of heartache I can't say the tones have blown me away. Alive or just breathing will always be my favorite record but the rhythm sounds on end of heartache are spectacular.

erik.

Yeah, they've used so many different amps but they always manage to sound the same: Dragon, Laney, Diezel, Mesa, Soldano, etc.

Are you saying the tone is in the fingers?

Since this original show I've been to yet another, on their current tour with LOG and Testament. Joel loves his Colossus and it's staying in his studio to remain pristine. We've got some plans for his live rig in the works... Looking forward to the next tour and album.

;) Yeah, a little. But also most people tend to EQ an amp to sound how they like. So no matter what amp they're using, it's set up for that same tone. Sure there are small, small differences here and there. But generally speaking, most modern high-gain amps all sound the same. The feel and response might be different, but from the audience's perspective...

Especially since the guys in KSE use EMG pickups into their (boosted) amps. So the subtle nuances that may separate one amp from another are kind of covered up. :) That, and their music isn't exactly dynamic in terms of volume and tone. They aren't rolling their guitar volumes up and down to change their sound mid-song and their picking dynamics tend to consist of either palm-muted downstrokes or pig squeal pinch-harmonics. :D So amp feel/response probably isn't a huge concern for them.  Don't get me wrong, I like 'em a lot. But give 'em a Fender or an Engl, and they'd probably sound the same either way.

Just saw them in St Paul and their performance was great, but not my style of music!!! The blonde guitarist is one hilarious spaz!!!! Lamb of God destroyed all and Testament was awesome, but the set list was too short!!!

That's killer.

KSE's new album is really good. Hard, fast aggressive and Adam's harmonies really fit well.

Congrats man
