I had a 4 channel preamp for a short time...sounded pretty good IIRC but I needed 128 presets at the time 
I remember Reb Beach endorsed them and said they sounded great but weren't very reliable.

I've heard more than one person refer to them as "Shitty Hawk."
The rack power amp I tried out sounded pretty good, though...but how good can gear really sound when it's broken?

ah...damn. well i was looking for a cheaper alternative to the gcx/ground control pro. think it is worth a shot...$125 for the looper and switcher?
