KM7 volume knob acting like tone knob

I decided to change out my scratchy KM7 volume control and now it's acting like a tone control. What did I do wrong?

Did you wire in a capacitor? It almost seems like you have both pickups wired in the pot when they should go straight to the switch

Schecter needs to address this QC issue. I replaced mine on my old KM-6 and it was way better after. Also, when I traded the km6 for the km7II, the kid who I traded replaced the one in the km7II. So we have a reoccurring theme here. I love these axes, but cmon. Any guitar in their price range should be good to go for years.

I wired it the same way the old pot was. I hate wiring so much.

I might just put in a regular volume pot. I don't use the push/pull anyway.

So if it's push pull then the wires from the pickups go to the pot in that case. Not a lot of room there. I would rewire it

I think I'm having trouble grounding one side of the pot. The bridge ground wire is not a problem, but the other side has a very thin wire connecting 3 areas in a Z pattern.

New Duncan 500k pot installed. Finally done dicking with this. Hey Schecter, fix this damn issue.
