Awesome footage of Ace in '92. The Guitar sound is so balls out, beautiful Marshall it made me get a little moist around the Ocular orbits!

Strange ways with Peter in '95

I watched a YT vid where Paul breakdowns his version of events from the beginning that pretty much destroys Ace and Peter. A lot of what he says may have happened and been true but even in the 90's, when by all reasoning Ace should have been a vegetable from what Paul re-counted he just sets the place on fire with rock.

I remember My Mom dropping me off alone at age 14 to go see AC/DC.
Man was that an experience at that age or what? :D

That`s awesome , what year? My mon and dad took me and a friend to see KISS in 79 , my mom took me and 3 friends to see VH in 80 just a month after I turned 13 then VH cam back to the Oakland Coliseum in June of 81 and my mom let me go by myself with 3 friends , she dropped us off at Malibu Grand Prix right outside the Colisuem and off I went on June 12th 1981 (supposedly that was the day they filmed the famous videos) I still thanks my mom to this day

I still completely rip off Ace's vibrato.

That era around 75 is when they were truly at their peak in my opinion. The tones they were getting live were killer and they were all playing pretty well about then. Ace's vibrato was killer.

Ace is known for playing clean when intoxicated. I had a bass player I worked with for 20 years that was the same. Could barely stand up and played perfect.

Agree around Alive / Destroyer I felt they were the best.

Skoora that first video you put up is classic...

Destroyer.....then Kiss Alive II.
So much goodness.

I was mezmorized by this!!
(Actually have it hanging in the Jam room!!) :D

Yeah that was a BIG LET DOWN for me last week at their show.

But I had killer seats really close to Tommy's corner. We saw the band walking up to start the show. Gave me goosebumps. :D

Paul probably has one of the best voices in rock.
Hell yes he does!!
Guy controls the show.

They Donated $150,000 that night to the local VA. That damn near brang me to tears being a 13 year Navy Vet myself.
Paul led the audience in "Pledge allegiance" Everyone participated. House lights were on. It was so killer.
said Rock N Roll would not be possible without People standing ground for their country.

That is the FREEDOM TO ROCK TOUR! :rawk:

That's funny that you say you were mesmerized by that center of Alive II. So was I. I used to stare at that thing all the time. When I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade(can't remember) I used to bring that album to school. If we finished our work early in class there were a couple of record players with headphones that we could use. I got to listen to KISS at school. I noticed a few years ago that when I was doing my work with the paper on the album, it left indentations of me learning to write.

This also is pretty funny. Back when i was in 1st or 2nd grade we would have show and tell.
Kids would bring in stuffed animals and etch a sketch.
I would bring in my kiss albums.

Classic KISS...where it all started for me

I watch those old concerts on the Kissology DVD's all the time, even started repurchasing the vinyl, never gets old!

I was Gene for Halloween in 1977 when I was in 1st grade. Wish I could find that photo. I never got to see them when I was a kid. But in 1988 when I was at the Monsters of Rock show at the Meadowlands, our seats were pretty far off to one side. Kiss was not on the bill. Between Dokken and Metallica, Gene and Paul walked out to the far edge of stage right. Everyone on our side recognized them and cheered and they waved to everyone. I was 17 and got that thrill you get on Xmas Eve. I didn't get that thrill when I saw Gene at NAMM a few years ago. BTW, if you don't follow Paul on Facebook, you should. His posts and photos are great.

ace 2 hand tapping in 1975 with gobs of phaser on his solo
EVH ...what?

EVH has said he got the technique from Ace in a few different interviews. He fully admits it.

That Alive II center photo was what had me mesmerized too. 4th grade for me. I was Paul for Halloween and a town parade. Good times lol. That Ace losing his home thing has been going on for awhile and is supposedly false per him, but who knows

The center photograph in Alive II is from the Love Gun tour at the very end of the show when the drums lifted high in the air and they were doing Black Diamond. Seeing it live was fairly spectacular by any measure.

The gatefold picture for Alive ll was taken at a photo session for the album . There's some pretty cool outtakes floating around
