Hi guys :)

Was playing my Charvel through the Triple Rectifier today and have been boosting it with the Koko Boost Reloaded lately.

Tried a quick recording of "When Heaven Comes Down" although the gear doesn't match the time period. Of course it's not exact just an approximation...

sounds great.. I saw dokken in 1994 and he was using a dual rectifiers and a fender tonemaster- sounded like dokken to me. How would you describe the koko boost? is it a tube screamer copy with a smooth symmetrical clip or SD 1 asymmetrical, with top end and aggression?

Thanks for the comment! :)

It's not a tube screamer derivative at all...it's a mid boost coupled with a clean boost option. I don't use the clean boost side of it, just the mid boost side. That's why the smaller form factor attracted me, because I didn't need a true double pedal with two dedicated footswitches like the original.

Although switching between the modes isn't a big deal...I just don't use the clean boost side of it, but it's nice to have as an additional option.

The mid boost has a 3 position toggle for different mid frequencies, which makes the pedal pretty useful imo.

As far as agression/asymmetrical/symmetrical clipping comparatives, I would put the Koko Reloaded in between the SD-1/Screamer generally speaking in that category (imo of course).

BTW I want to try a Wizard badly! :)
