MURDERATOR
Is anyone familiar with the neck profiles on these things? Right now it’s a toss up between this and my prs as to which neck I prefer. If it wasn’t for the stupid pickup placement the Kramer would be about the perfect ss style guitar for me. I swear it is flatter than the rg I had. And being 24.75” and 24 frets…. That makes a difference for me…. I really like it….

always thought they were really cool but that 2nd pickup was useless for me where it's at. I'd still rock one.
Even after putting a yjm single coil in the middle it still gets in the way. Sounds great though. I just don’t like three pup guitars or I should say a middle humbucker. Strats are fine… it just gets in the way where it’s located….

Those look cool and unique to me; thought about going for an original, but even if I'm sure the old 80's ones must be of better "quality", I've been "afraid" of the R1 nut on the old ones.
Those recent "reissue" with the larger neck sound appealing to me, and like a cool unique low budget alternative.

That looks super @killertone .
How do find the R1 nut width?
As I said in my previous post above, would love to try an old one but I'm afraid of the neck feeling too narrow; I have especially a bad memory of some '67? Gibson necks that I felt were really too narrow and not comfortable to me VS the larger 11/16 (or even late 60's Fender) width.

I would just sink it as low as possible and never use it.

I wish they would rerelease the Swan ii. HSS, though I would like them to keep the floyd top mounted, rather than the recessed way they went.

I have an OG. The neck is very slim and narrow.

I replaced the nut with the narrowest Gotoh available because the 10" Floyd nut felt terrible to me with the 16" fretboard. (Gotoh is 14" ish).

The neck is definitely narrow: I had to grind off some of the Gotoh so it didn't hang off the end of the neck.

But it doesn't feel weird. I can switch among various guitars and it's fine.

Fwiw I just removed the middle pickup.

Vivian Campbell modded one of his Nightswans to include a Tele neck pickup.

Go to the 2:30 mark for the pickup info on his Nightswan.

Thanks for your feedback.

Yes, ifever I get one of those Reissue that’s what I have in mind (to add a single format neck pickup).
Wouldn’t do it on a nice original though, unless this one would already be heavily modded in some way.
