So this is some rough 1st passes at this new jam for the full mix portion of my Juno playthrough demo.

https://soundcloud.com/jerevil/ksr-juno-thrash-test

Gear used:
• Balaguer SD left/right rhythm tracks
- Balaguer Feral humbuckers
• Jackson RR24 LTD for the middle rhythm track and leads
• KSR Juno
• Two Notes Torpedo Studio
- Hop Pole Zilla “Big Beast” 4x12
- 421/160 combo
• Helix Native for delays on lead
• Superior Drummer 3
- JerEvil preset on Metal Machinery SDX

Of course I’ll be redoing the whole thing but this was just working some parts out. The amp had me old school thrash inspired and kept playing Slayer stuff. Some “borrowed” riffing from South Of Heaven.

Damn that sounds cool. I usually stay with guitar in the room clips, that is good shit man!! That amp is really impressive as was your playing. Nice chops

Hey thanks bro! Hoping to have the vid edited and up before Wednesday. I covered a TON on it. Single coil Tele, active/passive humbuckers AND 7 string! May break it into a few vids.

Fuck! YEAH!

That sounds killer Jer! Will you have any 7 string stuff in your big demo of the Juno?

EDIT:

Listening to the other demos you have of the Juno on your Soundcloud page and they sound excellent too. Love the various cabs one. If you have the Two Notes cab, can you do a demo with the StrongBack/Fryette Fatbottom 4x12?

Hey thanks! Yeah I have some 7 string stuff included. I can make a clip with the Fryette cab for sure.

That’s sick sir!
Thanks! I think the final vids are going to turn out awesome. I hope so anyway because next it goes to Killertone then Fluff so mine needs to be on point!

 Nice tones, Jer! I really liked the one on your page with the Fortin cab. I can’t wait to get mine, the options seem endless with this amp. It seems like it can go wherever you need it to.

Consider my interest aroused and my loins moistened.

Sounds killer my friend! Nice job! Your Gemini anticipation must be getting pretty high after having this Juno in your possession. :D

Love me some classic thrash inspired riffage, good job!

What's your thoughts on the Balaguer ? I'm in the market for a new semi-custom 6 string & just stumbled across his stuff and am wondering about his USA custom stuff.

Now that’s how Thrash should sound.

Thanks brutha! Yeah I’m dying here waiting on the Gemini! You’re gonna love your Juno. I like the Lead Channel, Gain at 1:00 and Feel on 1 or 3.

Thanks man! The Balaguer stuff is legit. I had a HUGE import bias for many years until I got my Balaguer. Hence my ease of comfort ordering the KM7. Balaguers opened my eyes til the level of quality coming from overseas production. So much so that I did a semi-custom order that 2 years ago would have never happened.

Thanks man! I have some single coil punk and some 7 string stuff coming as well.

Jer, to be honest.. on my headphones it sounds a bit bloated. You need to build yourself an iso cab so you can hit some real speakers with mics because that would be an instant 10! I find the impulse stuff suffers the dreaded digital curse the more i hear clip after clip on forums then compared to the odd mic'd clip. Some people get amazing results but mine have always been sub par. I made my own and they were close but I could hear it when layered. ( I also have two notes and OwnHammer)

No man that’s cool. ISO cab probably isn’t going to happen. I’m not handy, I’ve NEVER heard one that sounds good enough for me to buy and my situation doesn’t allow for the bleed that would come out of it.

Best I can do I mic at conversational volume or lower. Generally doesn’t yield tones I like so this is the solution I have.

I hear ya.. my wife also nixed a huge Iso cab I was going to build for my 4x12 saying there was no way for that not to be an eye soar. Problem is you need air and some space and generally people convert half a closet for this use or use a full closet with semi isolation to cut volume. That works best because air and sound can still escape and move. Those tiny isolation cabs suck balls. Anyway not really a criticism so hopefully you didn't take it that way. To compensate I would use IR's that cut more or sound less full on their own but will really help separate the guitars in a mix.

Yeah I got you man. I appreciate your honest feedback. We have known each other/been eBuds long enough to know you aren't being a doucher! LOL!

I have a friend that has offered to convert half of my closet in the studio but he lives in CA so it's a haul for him. Maybe I will take him up on it someday.
