Please give me your experience, impressions, and opinions regarding these 2 amps.
Laney Ironheart 60 vs Randall RD45.

I found an amazing price on the Ironheart 60, and on the RD45.
I've had the RD45 on order for a couple of weeks cause it's backordered, and not expected for another 2-3 weeks.
Meanwhile just found an awesome sale price on the Ironheart 60 in stock.

I played the smaller rd, I think the 5 watt, and I was shocked at how good it sounded, hard rock to metal no problem. One from that series is on my list to pick up someday. I haven't had a chance to check out the laney yet though, sorry.

Thanks for the input.

I was hoping to get more, but a lot of players on here seems to have experience more with the higher dollar gear.
As I don't gig anymore I can't rationalize the expense.
But man, if I don't find an amp I REALLY like soon I may easily rationalize the expense.
But then, I'll agonize more over which multi-grand amp to get.
:D

I'm hoping the RD45 will give me what I want.
The Laney current sale price is so low I'm tempted to order it just to try it out.
I can always return it to GC if I don't like it.

oh yeah, if you can get the laney with a return option get it and check it out. If you don't love it return it and try the rd45. If you can get them both at the same time and just send the one you don't want back. I do that with pedals often when I can't decide between two.

That's the route I'm thinking.
The Laney is priced way to nicely right now not to try it.

The Laney is a lot more versatile though as it's got 2 separate eq's to work with and 3 channels, plus much more tonal shaping and variable power and pre boost.
A lot being offered for the money.

The thing for me is which one has more articulate gain.
And I like the small size of the RD45, the Laney is nearly as big as my Egnater Vengeance head.

I'll order both and then I'll know which one works for me, if either does.
The Bugera TriRec is going back, it's already boxed up.

Update:

I just ordered the Laney Ironheart 60 watt head.
Sweet deal too.
ZZounds.com had it on sale for $650 from $850!
So I called Guitar Center and they beat it selling for $620!
The RD45 I got for $488 on a price match.

With GC I have to pay state tax, but when returning things I don't have to pay for shipping, I just take it to a local GC.
But if/when I return it I get the tax back with the refund.

The Laney is in stock so I'll have that early next week.
The Randall is taking way too long cause GC didn't have any in stock and it's expected to come in 3/25, which will be a month from when I ordered it.
I don't get why so long cause I called Randall 2 weeks ago and they confirmed that they have the RD45 in stock at their warehouse ready to ship once it's ordered.
I think GC dropped the ball on this one.

I'll post on the 2 amps once I get both.
Hopefully someone else can benefit from the info.
