Yup...Have to agree here. Perfect for home...Sounds good, tubes, features, versatile and cheap.

Just not sure about the EL84 angle... would have preferred something a little chunkier... amp did seem to sound good though.

Well, It took me a while, but I finally got one- and for a little less than they MAP for :) I've played it for about an hour, but have barley scratched the surface of what the amp can do. Overall, its a little warmer than I expected, but pleasing. The dirty channel is the best channel. Its got nice treble and high mids and feels kind of vintage, but has great modern chunk. The clean channel shares the same EQ as the crunch channel and seems warm. Being low wattage, the clean channel lacks headroom. On the 1 watt mode, its a little dull. Speaking of the variable wattages, it doesn't seem to matter much. The amp is pretty loud.I had it hooked up to my mesa recto 2x12 cab and wonder ho it'll sound through my EVH 4x12??? The onboard reverb sounded nice as well. Even with it cranked, its not too much. The lead channel is chunky and dark. Not quite as dark as a Carvin legacy, but it felt like it was in the same ballpark. Each channel is expressive and the notes track very quickly. I'd put it in the same vein as an ENGL as for as how notes track. (Its nowhere near a VHT though). Through headphones it sounds ok. Not as good as a speaker cab, but just ok. If only Celestion could make V30 headphones, that would be the tits :D I'm still experimenting and I'll give a full review later, but it mixes vintage and modern tones well, and I think its a keeper.

Very cool. I am looking (as mentioned a million times) for a low wattage solution that can also be run direct for smaller venues. How different in character are the Crunch and Lead channels?

I need something that could handle light crunchy tones like The Black Crowes up to tones like Kansas and Styx. Obviously this is for a cover band.

the crunch and lead channels are pretty different. I tried some classic rock on the clean and crunch channels and it worked pretty well. The crunch/ clean channel has push/pull controls on the EQ. Pushed in, the amp is more modern. Pulled, it sounds more vintage/ single coil PU tones. Rush doesn't sound bad, though it might take a little coaxing to get John Fruchante (i didn't spell that right)/ RHCP tones.I think the amp is more geared towards hard rock/ prog/ fusion type sounds. The lead channel sounds quite different from the crunch and is on the dark side of things. It has more for Satch or Santana kind of vibe.
