Haven't played consistently in a while and didn't play much before shooting this so it's a little loosey goosey... :D
Just wanted to put up a clip of these incredible, bang for the buck amps. I kick on a boost at just past a minute.

I like these amps. I have a 50 watt head and just bought a 50 watt combo at a pawn shop for $200

Damn, that sounds pretty sweet. I had one for a very short time a long time ago. Didn't really have a lot of time with it though. Might revisit one of these if one pops up cheap.

That sounds pretty good.

I had the 100w version, it didn't sound good on its own but when I hit the front of it with a SD-1 it sounded pretty tight.

Just thru the power brake?

Yeah, into both cabs. I'm running through my pedals but don't have any in use except for the one boost I turn on. I've had that power brake for almost 15 years and it's always been great. Well, at least to me. I use the Hotplate when running the boogies into just my Marshall cab which can be set to 4 Ohms. I like with the Laney if you run it more like a non master amp it gets a lot more old school Laney sounding. More like a Supergroup. In this instance though I'm running it more traditionally, Master on 4 and pre on 6. Just need the PowerBrake to take the edge off at home.

It was a total spur of the moment buy. Went into a store to check it out for the first time (the store) and decided to play the Laney out of nostalgia really. Was so floored by how good it sounded for how much it was that I left with it. They had a bunch of great amps but the Laney hung with all of them and was missing a zero in the right place on the price tag.

Do you still have that modded VTM? Those Peavey's I would liken to the AOR's in value for money. I think you can get those for even a little less.
