I’ve had this Larry for about 6 weeks or so. Didn’t know exactly what to expect but it’s a really killer sounding circuit. Oddly enough, I think it’s voiced sort of similar to my Marshall mods.
This amp is 4 channels, clean, crunch, British and scream. They all sound great. I’m overall very impressed with the voicing and sound. Probably one of the best sounding amps I’ve come across. I really feel like Larry and I must have a similar ear for frequencies as most amps annoy me in certain areas but this one is pretty well balanced.
This amp was a Marshall 2210 that was fully gutted and rebuilt in the 90’s and then updated in 2003. The circuit is extremely impressive. Must’ve taken a lot hours to complete. It’s no simple mod, it’s a full on multi-channel amp build inside. Very well done.
I swapped out the head shell and knobs when I got it. And repainted the grill. It just needed a little TLC but it looks fantastic.
This clip is my LP R9 with Roxy bridge into g12H30 anniversaries. SM57.
This is a quick one take clip, mistakes and all…but I think it conveys the core tone fairly well.
