I’ve had Jeremy do 2 rectifiers for me. Peter’s (which sounds best to me) is my old triple G I had before it was modded. I have also owned a rev c, rev d, multiple dual and triple G and currently have a triple F. The G are common, slow, and flubby particularly without a boost. It’s my least favorite of the 2 channel revisions. The mod makes it a tighter version of the amp that’s still percussive but with more cut and note definition. I recommend a triple for a tighter low end. They sound a lot better than the duals in my opinion.

My Rev G Triple is tightest of all the Rectos I've had.

Hmm

I tried the Hot Mod in the Triple G. You can definitely get more gain and a tighter sound.
It takes 5 minutes to install and remove.

I didn't keep it because the effects on the clean channel and point if breakup sounds. I play a lot of funk and clean sounds.

I do often use a overdrive with my Tremoverb. But don't feel I need it with the Triple.

Adding KT88 would definitely make the bass looser. I didn't try KT88. But I did try KT66 that are somewhat similar. The bass was huge and loose. I wouldn't recommend using any tube that the amp isn't designed for. That is with any amp not just Rectifier.

With a overdrive pedal or any HPF I can get any Rectifier as tight as any Fryette or Wizard. Tighter actually.

Another thing is that the GZ loop sounds great whereas the stock one sucks ass

I am not a loop user generally, but I hear there is an easy mod to convert the parallel loop to serial on the Rectos.
I did do the bass suck mod on my Rev G Triple. The stock loop does lose bass. I kept mine parallel, but have considered converting to serial. You just move 2 wires.
