@Ventura the 10 band in the loop for me is a must nowadays... the amp sounds mean as hell no doubt but once you get use to the 10 band in the loop it never goes off for any channel or any type of music really. Good stuff
Ya, I'm starting to think this won't take much convincing - LOL!!! I've got a couple kicking around, will have to see... Packed for now, will know in a week or so.

But errrrrl, hands down nuclear sonic awesomeness!!

Great tones- mean as hell!!! I'll have to score an MXR to experiment w/ my JJ!

The Slax does sound fucking nice. Very well done.

Agreed on all accounts about the EQ in the loop, it's a must. I have the Perfect 10 with a nice frown right before the amp input and a Mesa 5 band with a nice smile as my first pedal in the loop. Every amp I play, always on. Can't live without em.

Thanks man! Yup... always on... feels like something is wrong if it is ever off lol

Sounds good. That cartoon is dark as fuck!
Thanks man... i'm seriously stoked that Netflix gave me permission to use their shit... I filled out one of youtube's forms to dispute the copyright and basically said I've been a fan of Castlevania since the early Nintendo days and felt like my use of their video was doing them no harm.

And bam its official, even got an email today saying fuck yeah!

Thanks guys, the Slax is no joke man... I recently bought an Ampete 444 amp switcher so I could bounce between heads at the drop of a dime... but shit, after having all my heads setup and wired up I find myself always just playing thru the Slax

Agreed. It's a hyper-addictive amp.

Just wanted to let you know - it really does respond amazingly well to the 10GEQ in the loop. Spent 5-6 hours with mine yesterday:
- Les Paul GoldTop DarkBack w/ C57s
- ESP NT-7 w/ Holy Divers
- Butterslax
- Fryette Deliverance with v30/Green mix
- TimeFactor and HardWire RV7 in the loop
- Foxrox Octron 2, Clyde Deluxe, CAL Mk.4:23 Pro up front

Incredible. What really blew me away was the ESPs relationship with this amp - the Slax. It's interesting, for most of my high-gain head days, I've always found lower output/resistance pups sound better... I found immediate clarity when going from the Lester to the ESP. Night and Day difference. ESP with the Holy Divers was immensely more articulate. I'll try more guitars and configurations for sure, but get this - heavy guitar, heavy amp, heavy player....heavy times - what did I end up spending most of my time doing?? Throwing a few drum tracks over the monitors, hitting the looper, and playing in split-coil single coil neck format, volume and tone rolled back, and just getting into this beautiful rich thick Chicago style bluesy sweetness off Channel 1. It was addictive, incredible, tonally orgasmic, and so inspirational. Imagine. One of the heaviest amps, heaviest guitars loaded with heavy pups.......off in "single coil strat land" with the "woman tone" through the Butterslax...

And it sounded absolutely fucking glorious.

By the way, if there was one word I'd use to describe the Butterslax, it's "glorious". True story.
Go ahead and ask me about other amps, I spent most of last night going through most of the amps I've tried and coming up - if possible - with one word descriptors to best match the amp... Some amps were easy, as in the Butterslax. The term "glorious" hit me over and over again yesterday...it's an amazingly complex amp, without complex controls. The tone is complex, getting there - not so much... But I thought about my other keepers...
20th XTC EL34 "Masterpiece"
20th Shiva "Huge"
TwinJet "Nuclear"
VH4 "Perfect"
Hagen "Addictive"
JJ100 "Mine"

And there are others too, but these were the forefront of thought. But the Slax....it really is "glorious", I can't stress this enough. I was in bluesy heaven yesterday...all with the least likely tools one could imagine LOL.
