That’s my old amp. As far as pricing goes, that’s absolutely fair in this market. Peter sold his Dual F for 5K. So, it stands to reason that an F triple, which is far more rare would go for 6K. I don’t see anyone giving me any deals out there, so why should someone give something away for 2-3K? That’s just stupid. I also had a newer member here reach out and considered paying me 6. He passed but thought about it.
Bottom line is this: Better get used to these prices; until the used sites get flooded with pre 2020 pricing these prices are here to stay.
Don’t like it? Don’t buy. You have a choice.

Yeah that seems high (as sweat beads on my forehead).
Well I suspect that most of us here are either in the 12% or 22% income tax bracket, so yeah. When you get 1099-d you have to report that as income, and if you don't have matched expenses to offset it it's full pop on your bottom line. In this seller's case I know he took it on a trade so he's got no purchase paperwork to offset the sale revenue.

I'll also add that thanks to Fluff's Ridiculous Reverb Listings series, I've noticed more crackhead prices on reverb than ever. Could be they want to make it on his show? :loco: I would hope not and think its probably more coincidental due to the current market climate/trends.

now ive got this split screen image going on in my head.. one side is a couple dudes ripping bong hits laughing and high fiving each other pumped that they are gonna make Fluffs show with this ridiculous listing.. and the other side is RigTalkers looking at the listing in sheer disgust as they fumble for the mouse to get to RT to make another thread chastising these greedy cock sucking fucks leeching off a vulnerable humanity.

Crazy how things change. I bought a RevF triple for $1400 not that long ago. 5 or so years back maybe ...Sold it 6 months later for the same price like a dope !

I don't have a dual rec but i have a Mark iv I've listed it for sale a couple times and I put the price way on the high end cause that's what it would have taken for me to sell it. I think I listed it for $2400. I think i paid 1200 plus 400 for a new headshell from Mesa and 400 after shipping to Mike B for service plus I retubed it shortly before hand. So I thought I had listed it high enough where nobody would consider it and if they did it was so much of a profit that I would be cool with it.

Then I figured out that after all I put into it then reverb fees I would still be taking a loss. I ended up taking it down cause I love that amp and it would take an extra 1300 to 1400 for me to even want to sell it. At this point I'm not even going to bother with posting it and telling my wife "see I have it listed". I don't want to sell it especially cause I couldn't buy it back if I wanted to. It's really a weird time.

There was a dual rev F that listed fir 3500 he dropped price down to 2500 and it sold. I bought a triple rev G for 1500 just a bit ago.
Always people with more money than brains. If someone wants it bad enough it will sell.

I don't think it's the actual adds themselves or the outrageous asking price that infuriates people. That stuff always going to be there. In any other time most would look at it any say look at this dumbass and that stupid price, laugh, and move on.

But now the entire world has been having such a rough time the last several years and events seem to not want to let up. In the gear world it's the shortages and working musicians having such a hard time. It's the idea of these bastards trying to take advantage of what is an already dire situation. It's the same thing I see in my area when a hurricane hits. People trying to rebuild and assbag scammers taking advantage of people when they're already at such a low point.

Yeah, I know rebuilding from a natural disaster isn't on the same level as some rando listing gear at an insane price. But the world is at a low point and core connection of someone trying to take advantage of the situation and desperate people is there. It hits closer to home for some. Plus the best way to combat it is to continually point it out so other don't get taken advantage of.
Are you shure this is taking advantage of musicians? I mean, it doesn‘t have to be the super über Dual Rec Rev bla bla with all the shiny visual blackface options etc, or does it?
The Multiwatt gives you all the Rectifier glory you need as an professional musician and you should be able to find one at a decent price.
I guess this Revision and Blackface thing attracts more the gear nerds.

The seller is a well-known member here... maybe he'll chime in.

I have 2 (not for sale) and they are killer amps. As with all things now... prices go up, up, up.
