Brad and Mark, We really appreciate the duress and strain that the trip has caused on you guys. We know that you are only there to get quality assurance and videos of the CCV and Axe II, for your friends and customers. Thanks for enduring the hardships of Southern Cali, for us.

At one moment I thought I saw Mark Cameron following you guys on a Schwinn Bicycle. :D
Not possible. Mark is holed away on a small island off of the coast of CA. Noone will know his whereabouts except for a select few. Sort of like Horst Langer of Engl amps. Someone with this kind of genius must follow in the footsteps of Friedrich Nietzsche. They simply cannot function in a society. Zarathustra has spoken.

Love those drives despite the lack of a lambo

Looks like a great time! Glad you guys are in CA.

How in the hell do you guys know all of these people? A "friend" loans you a Lambo? I need to move out of Ohio.

Keep in mind I don't know any #1 NBA draft picks or hip hop stars, but I've lived in California for 35 of my years and never even met anyone who owned a Lamborghini.  Lots of Ferrari's and Porsche's and Lotus etc, but never a Lamborghini. That motor sounds killer, doesn't it? Talk about "tone". Audi has done a great job at putting Lamborghini back on the map.

If you guys get a chance, you should drive that over Mulholland Drive. There is a ton of history on Mulholland of the So Cal sports car racing scene. In the late 70's and early 80's, Mulholland had so much illegal road racing going on it was an entire scene. I went there one night with my cousin in a raced out Datsun 510 and lost my lust for muscle cars in a single evening and have never been the same. That is a great road but unfortunately, like most of So Cal is now over crowded and over regulated. That road holds a special place in my heart though.

You guys are living the life

Would love to blast through Mulholland in a 911 RS just for the historic rush

No room for error on Mulholland and an old 911 is just waiting for you to mess up or puss out because it will sting you and then you can join the dozens of other sports cars down at the bottom of the canyon. The guy known as the King of the Hill did drive an old 911 built to RSR spec and no one could touch him. He was from a very rich family and owned his own house off of Mulholland. ALL the cops were looking for him at all times and he constantly would outrun them and disappear. He only took his car out occassionally to whoop some ass and then high tail it back to his house. He had french doors installed on his house and used to drive his car into his living room and leave it there whenever he wasn't driving it. True story. I guess there were many times that he just got his car into the house and the doors closed as the police would drive by. He wrote a book about those times but it was pretty poorly written. I read it anyway as I love that scene and that history. Even James Dean used to shake down his Porsche race cars on Mulholland before race weekends. There are a ton of pro sports car racers that got their starts up there on Mulholland. And also in those days, they used to sneak into Willow Springs Raceway at night, way out in the desert and road race on that out in the pitch black.

I STILL want an old Datsun 510, vintage race prepped like they used to run in the old Trans Am series! It's pretty bad though, this thread started with a Lamborghini and has devolved into me talking about a Datsun 510. Sorry Brad

Hey Brad, if you ever make it to Jacksonville, I have a '74 AMC Pacer with an exhaust manifold leak and sticky lifters, that you can borrow anytime. Just let me know and I will get her polished up for you, and pry Abba's Greatest Hits out of the 8 track.

Hey Guys,

Yeah lots of fun for sure. Car is a 2011 LP540 Gallardo Spider. Tons of fun, ran the canyons, PCH/Malibu, Mullholland, Sunset its all cool. Wish I could give you guys all a ride through the twists. Mark Day is still hyperventilating and Dave Friedman and Rob refuse to ride with me.

Giving it back today, I was told to drive it like I stole it and I did.
