So I refinished my LP for a second time two-three months ago and I'm very pleased with the results.

I used Nitro and after a night in the outside closest and back into the house, I developed some finish checking big time. Although subtle, there's a lot and I couldn't be happier.

Not that I'm a fan of relics necessarily but it's gonna get abused at some point so this is just for ease of mind.

Hope you guys enjoy.

The bottom two pictures are before the refret and binding replacement (chemical stripper metled the binding from the 14th-22nd frets). Second from the top is before I fixed a sand through. The first is the most current.

how much does it cost to have a refret that either conserves the binding nibs, or comes with new binding?

Depends man. I can't think of any tech that can/would want to keep the binding nibs.

Cost me $275 for the refret (with stainless steel) and 45 for the replaced binding.

oh wow, that's very reasonable. I figured a refret would be a boat load of $. I would never want to part with my nibs though.

Depends on who does it. I didn't care one way or another about mine. I just wanted the damn thing to play well.

Can't wait to see the refret in person. BTW, this rig sounds amazing.

It's like having a new guitar. I went with SS6150 and a 12" radius

You have to kinda point your eyes over to the right of the beautifully refinished LP that you're staring at... :D

Rig looks awesome! I like the look of having the neck pup covered.

I was going for a poor man's JP LP.

Thanks!

Cool rig, wouldn't nearly be as good without that charismatic cab
