Les Paul Custom vs Supreme, $300 difference?

The first Les Paul I am considering is a Les Paul Custom with an awesome flame maple top in Heritage Cherry Burst. Its the Les Paul I was trying to authenticate on the forum last week. It checked out from Gibson as being the real deal.

Now I've got an offer for a Les Paul SUPREME with a similarly very nice flame top in an Autumn Burst, Ebony Fretboard with no blocks (kinda weak since I like the Supreme's sectioned block inlays) for $300 more than the Custom. A lot of people complain about the lack of access to the electronics of the Supreme due to the lack of a control cavity. Yet, I'd never be touching the electronics. I love Les Pauls purely stock.

So is it worth paying $300 more for the Supreme? Both guitars are in mint condition.

Take the custom, it will hold its value better.

Thanks, man. That is some of the feedback that I've gotten that the Supreme's bottom out in value pretty fast and end up side by side with the Customs. A good friend of mine who is a long time Les Paul player says he would never play a Supreme. He swears by Standards only. So I'm getting some pretty diverse opinions. Honestly, I find most Les Pauls I've played to be very similar in tone and feel. Of course, there are always slight variations for which you compensate with the knobs on your amp, but I don't think its as drastic as people make it out to be.

Yeah man...

I would never buy a supreme... Compare the Sound, A Regular Les Paul will EAT IT.

Weird Electronics + No Access = N/G

If you're mainly play metal rhythm, then the Custom. If you're like me and enjoy a good fusion lead tone or any lead tone you hear in your head and like airy clean rhythms then, the Supreme is for you.

They are NOT the same Les Paul. They sound totally different. The Supreme is definitely the one for me and I miss the one I had.

Get the custom, the supreme is chambered is a different guitar almost like a semi hollowbody, the supreme has a thicker body and doesnt have any backplates, its a solid piece back that is beveled kinda like a archtop, so the back isnt flat. Search for some pics of the back and you will know what im talking about.
Heres a supreme

Man, I do NOT want a thicker Les Paul that's for sure. Supreme it isn't then. Custom all the way! $300 saved ;)
