People put way too much emphasis on whether thye are weight relieved or not. Hell, they did it for years and people didn't even know it. Plus, the non weight relieved ones won't bring any more money that the chambered or weightones. There are fans of both. I have a chambered one. I also sold a white custom on here three or four months ago. I was weight relieved. It was the fattest sounding guitar I have ever owned. The neck was just too big for me. Play them and if you like it buy it.

BTW, the chamber one I own is badd ass. It sounds great.

Wait, there's more to this than meets the eye man. Nothing is ever this simple. It just can't be.

Phew. Almost drove off the road with my family in the car the other day thinking about this.

Nope. That's it Mo. Simple as that. It is EXACTLY what everyone does anyways so why fuss about it in the mean time? Lol. It is exactly that simple.

Played the '57 Goldtop blackback again yesterday. This was wrong as I have bonded with that guitar. Plays itself, has a HUGE neck, and the whole guitar just vibrates and feels alive. People say play 'em all until one speaks to you. This one's yelling at me. Just can't swing the $3,000 price tag. At least I have a benchmark to go by to judge all others. Maybe I can get close.

My '07 standard is chambered, and I choose it over several guitars played the same day. I have still yet to find another that sounds as good.

Who cares if it sounds good to you?

Anyone know about the weight relieving of Gibson Les Paul Studios or Ephiphone Les Pauls. Both in my experience have been pretty light. I know LP studios used to be thinner than standards, not sure if they still are.

Weigths vary. I've seen some weight relieved and chambered models go as low as 6lb, 10oz.
