Les Paul experts question for you...

Cool, I thought this one looked right, and I am going to try to check it out tonight!!!
 
Looks pretty legit. Does it have a COA? What year? Get the serial and send it to Gibson. Not that they can't be faked. What is the seller asking for it?
 
That strap is all wrong, should be 5 stripes.

Emailed the link to Gibson, and it looks like it checks out. Now I just have to wait to hear back from the seller.
 
This story is starting to get interesting. I found this guitar on a local web site similar to craigslist, and there is a local address. I emailed the seller to see if I could check it out, but they told me that they are on the other side of the country...I think I will tell them the company I work for has an office close to where she is, and I would like to have a co-worker check it out for me.

I am pretty sure that this is a scam so I might as well have some fun with it lol.

What do these scammers think? Some guy who can't even spot a fake LP might stumble across the ad??

What I sent
"I have a co-worker in the Hamilton office who is also a guitar player. Can I have him check out the guitar for me so that I can be sure it is 100%? I will get him to buy it, and pay him back if that is OK"

What I got back
"I will deal through google only because it's safe for both of us" (she wants me to pay through google wallet)

Was the price too good to be true? I'm so tired of dealing with bullshitters.
