I've got a '57 GT and I've got a '57 BlackBeauty.

OFF on the GT,
ON on the BlackBeauty.

But hey, to each their own.

Gotta have it on.

Only exception would be a killer flametop, but for Historics & Vintage, on.

On these two on looks killer! I like them off with a flame top though!

This poll is broken. Where is the "It depends on the model" option?

My new LP came with it off from the factory. I don't want to drill holes in the premium plus burst top... So it is off. But if it came with it on, I would leave it on for protection.

My old player has it on. It just looks complete with it on.

When I get a LP, two things happen before I play it...

1) Pickguard comes off.

2) Shaller strap-loks go on.

If your going to leave it on might as well custom make one.

Don't do stock for anything

When I got my LP new straight from Gibson, the pickguard came where it belonged- in the accessory compartment in the case.
