Hey Guys,

So after a good wait, I finally finished off my Les Paul. Crappy cell phone pics but I'm very happy with how it turned out. Can't wait to get my amp back and pair these two together for a match made in heaven and add a couple of new parts (pickup cover and new knobs).

Let me know what you think!

I don't want to sound mean, but it looks like some sort of "burst gone awry" mistake to me. What were you going for here because I really just don't get it. Randomly cherry in places like it is just looks odd to me...

If you dig it, that is really all that matters, but I just think it looks weird...

No offence taken; just opinions here.

The original finish was FUBAR so it had to go. My biggest 'want' was to enhance the flame that was hidden under the original finish.I hate LP Sunburst finishes because of the uniformity. It is a burst gone awry because it was what it was going for. Lighter shades of red and there coupled with uneven fading all around.

If I still had an HVLP this would be more consistent with the burst but the guitar here was hand rubbed.

I'm madly in love with it and I play the hell out of it.

By the way, love your Cherry Bomb amp. So articulate and crunchy yet refinied.

Cool! - I'm glad you got what you wanted and obviously I'm very much in the minority in my opinion here...

Thanks for your comments on the Cherry Bomb!
