Let's geek out on new Norum..

What do you guys think? I don't love it but i think his voice is great and I dig that he doesn't mail it in with a super safe song with lots of WOO HOO YEAH HAY! In the chorus. As always I think Norum has an ear for tone, great to see him back to strats.He feels like an artist to me. Lynch is good that way too. They actually try to write interesting music even if it doesn't always work out.

Vocals are one of those things...you have it or you don't. I've tried for years to like my own voice but I don't like the tone or range etc...Norum even older just has that really cool deep voice but he can still go into the high ranges. I always thought he had a fantastic voice. He probably could have been an equally good voice for Europe.

I always felt like his vibrato and playing are like Schenker and Malmsteen spit out a baby with some Gary Moore sprinkled on top. Vibrato is so important.

I love Norum. Listened to one of the new ones a few days ago and was a bit disappointed. Maybe I need to listen again to some more tracks. Wasn’t bad, just didn’t move me. I need to revisit.

One of my biggest influences. I'm definitely more into his guitar playing than his vocals. He's got a good voice but I like it better when John has a guy like Leif Sundin on vocals. Just brings it to a higher level. I kept looking to see if that's Steven Segal on drums. ? ? ?
