Mudder Active member Nov 24, 2008 #44 Let me add the Guitar Fetish VEH pickups. I just put one in a strat, no controls, just wired to the jack, and it's really a great pickup. Nice gain, not peaky, there's nice string clarity, and some nice harmonics too. For under $40 new it's a steal.

POD XT/Crate Powerblock - for $300, you can have a home/practice amp that makes a pretty good emergency rig. Hell, I'll throw the powerblock out on its own - for $100 (give or take), it is a great little poweramp!
