How much is my R7 worth if I tried to sell it today?

'06 or '07 (can't remember off hand) R7.

Darkback, gloss non VOS gold top finish.

Feels like a '59 neck rather than a '57 for some reason (to me).

Not a case queen. Some worming, some dings. Not beat at all, not a collector. Good used condition.

Original case.

Re fretted with bigger modern frets (details unknown, done by previous owner). No more nibs.

Missing COA.

No repairs.

Plays great, sounds great. I never weighed it. Not a tank, but not a light weight.

Whatever somebody's willing to pay for it is what it's worth and that can vary greatly .

I would guess 3200 to 3500

Lots of ones out there in excellent to mint condition which would make them more desirable
Understood, why I am asking opinions. What would a straight one go for now a days?

So I should have no problem replacing the R7 with a USA Wolfgang with no cash on my end?

Probably 4500 ish
Of course the first question out of my mouth is ‘what does it weigh?’ To me weight and neck shape mean more than wear. I bought a new 8.5lb R8 from a dealer 5mos ago for $4200. Don’t pay attention to Reverb—no one is dropping $3600 for a good condition R7. I’d say $2700-3k if it’s as you describe. If it’s under 9lbs you can get a bit better price, over 10 and it’s costing you a couple hundred.

I dig it out and weight it. I'm not sure what it weighs.

I had a WG—thing was like a ukulele on me lol. Not a great guitar for larger humans IME
I have 3 LP and multiple WG from the ernie ball to the EVH, i pick the WG over the LP all the time.

I ain't a large human though?

They stay in tune...... The WG.........

I have. Seems like a bunch of zelous kids/fanbois.
I know what you mean, I went to My Les Paul and there wasn’t much talk about Strats, or Teles, or Charvels! All they talk about are Les Pauls at My Les Paul.

I‘m going over to Strat Talk now and discuss Reverend guitars.

I thought there was a cutoff of a certain year where the older ones were more desired than the new ones. Certain things changed (which they do every year). I can't remember when or why.

There are a few years somewhere that are documented by Gibson as having Brazilian boards.

Looking at Reverb this afternoon, it seems dark backs go for at least $1000 more than natural back for some reason.
