Brick by Brick. Used to be the Spirit! It was called the Spirit. Cool frickin club. I'm from San Diego originally. The Spirit was a club that people could play loud with just friends and bandmembers in the audience at 11pm on a sunday night or even out of town bands could play there to a couple hundred people on a friday or Saturday night, the place rocked. Now I guess it's brick by brick since the late 90's or something.
yeah...mucho volume there. i've played there on a dead sunday and a hot friday and it's great either way. very laid back there as opposed to the uppity uptightness of cane's. the soundguys at cane's wanted me to turn down so far i couldn't even hear my rig so i'd haveta pull the mic away from my cab so i could turn it up a bit...and they'd still bitch n' moan.

Ha ha ha! Did you do that JUST to put it in this thread? LOL!!!
Actually no...I was making "faces" at the chick that sells our CDs at the shows. But I might as well have!

I too am 16! Most of these pictures are from a few years back though.

This one is great. VERY unexpected gig. Notice the duct tape microphone! This one was a few years ago.

Fuck Cane's, we did a few shows there with Atomic Punks and I got in a huge arguing match with the crack head sound guy...almost lost it actually. I prefer the Belly up any day for the beach club thing. If u guys are in town, my DPurple/Rainbow tribute act is playing at the Brick Oct 3rd friday night. bring ear plugs,I'll get u on the list. : )..and yes i do remember the old Spirit Club, the good ol days.

man, if i was still there i would totally go chek it out! too bad i'm stuck in idaho for 1 more year. the belly up is great! i saw dokken there a few years ago. i also watched hankIII in there as well! awesome surf bar. my band never played there but we did play the kraken alot...in solana beach. another great little surf bar. in fact, one of my pics above is from the kraken.

Right On! It's cool that so many of you have posted your "In Action" shots so we can all see the people behind the posts!

However, I do have to say that I think this is the best "Game Face Of All-Time"

Damn....this IS getting good! Sorry for my cluelessness on this Steve, but what band was that??

That is NorthStar... We were a pretty good draw in Hollywood in the mid-80s... Of course, if you weren't there you'd have never heard of us...

There are some clips on my MusicV2 page... Just navigate back from the page in my sig if you wanna hear us...

Steve

I heard of North Star, and I'm not from there. That says something IMO. Heh the 80's....
