Is that possible? Does the Deep function not typically affect the power section specifically in most designs, which would ultimately affect every channel?

Relax man, I didn't diss Diezel, I said they were not for me. None of the Diezels Ive played were suited for my style, or sounded right for my style, so yeah, I would hate to know that it was my only choice to play a gig with, but if it were, I would make due with it.
No need to be a douche bag and hurl personal insults because your amp of choice happens to be one that doesn't work for everyone.Where to you draw the line on that? Should we all run out and get the same guitar, strings, picks, speakers, and pedals that you use? Should I toss everything Ive learned in my 40 years of playing, and buying gear, and consult with you before my next purchase?

At the end of the day, we have to acknowledge that tone is as subjective as one's own taste buds. While the OP has acknowlegded this, I still can't believe this is ongoing. Who cares what emphasis is put on the quality of the components utilized if they don't amount to a product you simply gel with? Small wonder Papa Diezel or Peavy / Fender haven't chimed in. They understand this concept and they're fully aware that while their amps deliver, their product isn't for everyone. Simple as that. Papa Diezel might simply say something to the effect of "Peace, gentlemen."

This thread wasn't meant to be entirely serious, as in I don't really have any reason to need justification for preferring the VH4 over the 50 watt EVH, but I WAS interested in getting a feel of what people really thought about the comparison. It wasn't gonna a change my opinion or anyone else's for that matter.

Dickfuckface posting that the 50 watter shitting all over the VH4 was enough to know that he/she/it was just looking to troll. And by his own admission, to specifically troll me. Like I didn't see that coming a mile away.

That being said. This thread was very instructive. Some people got blocked and my rig talk experience is richer for it. Just like in real life, there are some channels you don't watch, some places you don't eat, some amps you don't play and some people you don't ever need to talk to.
