Let's talk cabs - need new cab for Bogner XTC

I prefere slant cabs in general and it's the same with the Bogners.

Why

Because I just do. I'm not anti straight though. I have two of those too.

I have the straight and slant egnater GC 4x12 and ive got to say that the straight sounds at least 50% better than the slant.
i had no bias before that never owning a 4X12 before. matter of fact i bought the slant first then the straight 4 months later and heard them side by side and said wait a minute whats the deal. why is the staright so much better? then read online that alot of people say the same about straights and slants having gone thru the same experience.

Bought way too much gear this week including a bogner xtc 101B. I don't really want to use it with my Marshall 1960 slant cabs (I have a 900 and an 800) and I'm not sure how it's going to sound with my palomino (kinda tan colored) Randall MTS 2x12. To be blunt, the Randall smokes the Marshall cabs, but it's tan and It just kinda bugs me when cabs and heads don't match colorwise.

So, I'm thinking about getting the bogner 2x12, or the Avatar 2x12... or even the Avatar 'vintage' 4x12. All three seem to be an upgrade over the 1960 Marshall cabs.

The Vintage 2x12 Avatar looks like a knockoff of the Bogner... Avatar also seems to make a knockoff of the Orange 2x12 also. 4x12 looks kinda bognerish too.

So guys, let's talk cabs... I don't want to sacrifice tone for a few bucks, BUT I don't want a 5% better sound for twice as much money. You know the drill. Also any suggestions in the same price range... looking for at least a 2x12, sealed back, to match the looks of the bogner too.

Pete, it's obviously a matter of different strokes for different folks, but with very few exceptions (and the Ecstasy isn't one of them), I don't particularly care for 2x12 cabs. The Shiva is the exception.

All that is to say that my recommendation would be to get a 4x12 for the Ecstasy.

My buddy picked up 2 Avatar 4x12 Vintage cabs and they are really nice. Same styling as my Bogner 4x12 and they sound great. Can't beat them for the money. I'm thinking of picking one up to go along with my Bogner as a matching, yet much cheaper, alternative for when I use two cabs.
