Lights Out in London Michael Schenker Orlando 9-5-25 Mike's still killin it

Anyone notice, NO FRACTAL/NO RACK .

I wore that album out. Didn't know he played with them except in 1973?
Did he play/do the studio for the Lights Out album?

I just saw him a few months ago and was a great show! I wanted a Gibson V after watching him and then played one and was disappointed. Maybe one day I'll find a great one, lol.

Find a mid 2000’s V. My white 2007 is like butter. The price has gotten stupid on V’s and Explorers. Something weird to me as well with binding on a V. I got my 2007 in 2012 or so at GC for around $700. Now people want high teens, 2K. Can’t imagine buying a new one for over 2K. It’s just a slab of mahogany that the pieces would whip out in minutes on a CNC.

Got all inspired to play my custom Roman Rist V today; and yes love Schenker, he was a major influence in my playing.

Since the whole Lights Out album was killer this one is my runner up to Lights Out and Love to Love! Michaels whole approach to his melodic riffing and soloing is beyond reproach...........I never get bored listening to him because his unorthodox playing always sounds fresh and the attack a vibrato along with the melodies just mesh and compliment the songs.....................

I had a nice black V in the the early 2000's and I just could never get comfortable playing it no matter how much I love Schenker's tones with them....I don't get along with SG's either................:dunno::no::LOL:

Unorthodox? I don't hear him that way, just the opposite. He follows the chords nicely and always takes his time!

Been catchin’ a lot of BOC lately on YT for some reason and it hit me that Buck and Schenker are very alike in some ways. They both just have this flow to their playing. Somehow their phrasing never gets stale and they just pull off great extended passages with zero apparent hiccups or ripcord bends, affections etc to get back on track.

I guess one mans orthodoxy is another mans unorthodoxy............. The end result is amazing interesting guitar playing IMHO!:2thumbsup::rock:
