Premeir Guitar demo's the POD HD400. All amps are mentioned, routing options and prices for all 3 units are mentioned.

and the DT50

Wish they had a better player to demo it, was not impressed due to the user.

Did he say over a 100 different effects?? Yikes! Tweaker's paradise.

i'm a bit bummed there's no SLO or 5150 model since those are the ones i've always had the best luck with when it comes to line 6 stuff.

God that sounds like shit!
there ya go Jeff…go get a job there and give us the tones we really want. You have the ear for it

The Dr. Z sounded killer. But more vintage sounding. The fireball sucked balls.

I tell ya, no one knows how to demo gear right.
1) lots of playing, less talking
2) play SIMPLE stuff people recognize
3) and for god sakes ya gotta make it sound good, i.e. record it right, nice and loud and in your face, not down like -12db... and tweak the sounds til they are really "there"

There's no 2nd chance to make a 1st impression.

Sounds very muddy, no dynamics, flat as fuck ... wouldn't be interested in the amp or the floorboard from that demo.

Hopefully someone will be able to tweak it and get some decent sounds out of it , if not save up and buy an Axe FX ;)

I thought the hi gain sounds were "papery" in the low end. Cleans and mid-gain were okay. I`d rather not pass judgment until I play it myself.

I'm still saving for the AFU but I also liked the M13 and to have that in a more controlled pedal board would be cool. I still stand by what I said before about liking the effects in the M13. The HD500 can use up to 8 effects at once and a 48 sec looper. It is what it is but at $1500 cheaper than the AFU I would grab that and my amp to jam over a friends house before taking the AFU/amp/speaker and foot controller.

the POD HD400 didn't sound half bad for what it is. Seems a bit more lively then their other offerings.

I did not like the DT50 in this demo. Then again, PG demos and videos usually suck and never represents an amp right.

I agree with Pete. they should of done something else for a first look video, properly mic'd, and all.

Would have to try it in person to get a real feel of any opinion. Not sure I would want my amp to sonically make that popping sound every time it switched. very annoying.

I think it sounds good for what it is. I also think it can sound much better than what was demonstrated in the vids. FWIW, there are many horrible sounding axe-fx videos. It's all speculation and word of mouth, but a dude on TGP heard one of the POD HD's AB'd against an axe and he couldn't tell the difference.
I'd like to pick up a rack version. Hopefully they'll release one within the year.

I think this vst sounds better than line 6's new stuff & its free

another "freebie"

go to the website and listen to the clips they sound about 50 times better

Can't really judge from a compressed YouTube vid through computer/laptop speakers or earbuds. I have heard alot of premier world vids that sound like crap and even guitar world. Give it to Samhill (Mark Day) and let him play with it a week and record a vid, bet they fly off the shelves. Evryone will be saying how awesome it sounds and they are gas'n for one.

If the effects are better than the M9/13 because of "HD" then I would pay that just for the effects.
