Probably grabbing one of these units very soon as I'm getting completely tired of being tethered to my pedal board. I think Pete(stratotone) and Zachman have one, and I'm wondering how they are holding up with touring, drop outs, etc? Don't really need the range of the 50, but the extra channels and cable options, plus the tuner out, make it a much more attractive unit than the 30.

Looks like ordering a couple replacement cables right off the bat isn't such a bad idea either.

Who's using the G50 and have you run into any issues so far with it?

I've toured the shit out of my G90 and absolutely love it.
It's the first wireless I've used that hasn't messed with my tone in the slightest, never had a dropout, the battery life is good and the gauges of the rack interface are very handy, especially the battery meter.

As the G50 has the same transmitter and just a different receiver I'm sure it would also be a fantastic device

I LOVE mine. No problems or issues to report. Highly recommended.

Excellent! Any issues running it with a Pedal Power 2 instead of the supplied power adapter?

My bass player is using the G30 and he loves it. Never had a drop out. Doesnt suck to tone. Never a problem

Aloha Bruddah Tweed,

I've honestly never tried. I plug it into the power strip in the back of my rack, where my amps plug in, so as to avoid any ground loop hassles. Perhaps someone else who can be more helpful, will chime in.

I had a g30. Transmitter went out after about 3 months or so...got it warrantied, sold it, got a g50. G50 is all metal casing, which is nice. More features. Its pretty sweet. Not issues, so far, but Ive only had it a couple of weeks. Sounds awesome too. The transmitter cable is annoying...not a standard 1/4", some weird plug thing. Ive been using it with a 1 spot power supply. No problems with noise or anything. Its quieter in my rig than using a cable, as far as noise goes.

I got one about six months ago as my first wireless and couldn't be happier with its sound and performance. It will go through batteries at a pretty good clip under frequent usage so I keep an ample supply around and take some with me to practice and gigs of course. But otherwise, it's great.

I looked at the Line6 since I heard alot of good things about it, but I ended up going with the Brace Audio DWG 1000. It was about $150, and I haven't had any issues with it at all. I didn't notice any change in tone either. For the price its a great unit!
After talking to Line6 wonderful customer service after my DL4 died, I vowed never to use any of their products again. The guy at the music store I shop in said he's sold a bunch of the Brace units and nobody has complained about them, so I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. If I was playing arenas it may not be the best unit, but for the clubs I'm playing at here in Atlanta it works fine.

I bought one of these, based on the RT chatter and used it the last couple of nights. A few hours in practice and in a gig. I like this unit a lot. 3 hours of practice and 3 hours playing in 2 sets and on one set of batteries. Good clarity, no wireless white noise as I have experienced with other units. And, the fact that it is on the pedalboard with less distance between me and the unit is cool. I never really experiment with the cable length adjustment. For the price, I expected to find the typical plastic, Chinese crap. But, to my surprise, the base unit and the body pack are made of metal and well built. I was well impressed with it.

I really like mine as well and I power it with a gig rig generator but have also powered it with a 1 spot and dunlop brick.
