My Line6 DL4 pedal has suddenly become a mute button. All lights are flashing properly, so I know it's getting power ok....and the tempo adjusting shows it's brain is still intact. This leads me to believe that 1 simple wire has come loose somewhere.
Not knowing much about wiring repairs, I opened it up to look for something simple but can't even get under the main board (see picture).
Any knowledge or experience with this is appreciated!

I forgot to mention that the dry signal passes through fine, it only mutes sound when turned on.

Try re-seating the chip. I heard about this on another forum and it worked for that guy.

Not sure how to approach that, but thanks for giving me some Google direction!

Every piece of line 6 gear I have ever owned that died, did so in a really weird and mysterious fashion. I've sent stuff back and spent time on the phone but the gear always stayed dead.

One of my DL4s once had a similar problem. I fixed it by doing a factory reset. Didn't think it would work but surprisingly it did and the pedal was great for the rest of the time that I owned it.

I did this by powering it up with the A and D footswitches held down. Hope this helps

Damn....this tip gave me hope...but it seems to be DEAD. Now it's an oversized set of mute switches. Thanks for the idea though!
