So i just got a brand new G50 wireless, What the hell, Nothing but drop outs in the basement, hooked it up in a room away from computer and tv, Walk 20 30 feet away and it drops out, I love the fact that it dos'nt color my tone
but i was hoping to use it for a gig Saturday night, I guess not now, back to the store it goes!!

Wow WTF? My G30 has been going string for 4 years and its never done that to me.

Hope you get a working unit mang.

I dont get dude, the tone was great, seems pretty simple to hook up, G50 has a goofy 4 pin cable, I get audio signal when i walk around, but just drops out

I had the G90 and NEVER had a single dropout... my buddy owns the G30 and I swear in a "real world" setting, not just "line of site" it goes just as far as the damned rack version, he's never had a single issue with his either... and everyone I know that owns any version loves them... I definitely think you got a bum one man and I DEFINITELY wouldn't let this shy you away from the product... just take it back and get another one...

....now I will say that if a SECOND one does it, there has to be something in your house interfering with it... have you tried it OUTSIDE of your house yet? Like a practice space or someone else's house?

I've had a problem with my G50 but it was not the unit itself, but that shitty cable going from guitar to the transmitter.

Does your unit drop out only for a milisecond/second or for longer? Mine would just stop playing for a couple of seconds. I then bought some high quality cables a guy from UK makes with good connectors and not a single problem since then.

I've been using a G50 for a few years now never once had a drop out. I've used it on large outdoor festival stages and small and large clubs and bars. Never a problem. I will say I don't use the included cable though. I've always used a quality custom cable.

Make sure you use the power supply that came with it and not something like a pedal power. That solved my issue (as far as I can tell).

Interesting I never used anything but my Pedal Power and didnt have issues.

It doesn't make any sense to me either, but when I started getting drop outs, I googled it and the power source was the first thing suggested to try...

I second the cable. Mine worked fine at home then the first show I used it the cable shit out on me. For a $3-400 wireless u would think it'd come with a good cable. Shure TA4F $19 on Amazon.

Our G90 had a bad transmitter (sounded like a heavy gate). Line 6 swapped it out and its been working great ever since.

No problems with my G50, ever.
Yup. Mine works VERY well. No drop out at all. Return it and get another.

G30 user here, powered with a one spot, no problems, no drop outs.

My G90 worked so good I decided to test it. I called my home phone from my cell and left the home phone in the room with my amp which is in my basement. I went upstairs, outside, and got about 3 houses down my street when it finally dropped out.

I'm glad that was the issue..
Being located in EU, I bought these https://www.ebay.com/itm/UPGRADE-Line6-R ... 43b969ba99

so far they are just perfect, I've bought 3 just in case..
There's this small sleeve that rolls off once you pull the cable out, so no pops, and I don't even have to mute the guitar which works just great :)
I highly recommend this guy, he worked super fast, after I bought 3 of those cables, he contacted me asking what length and color I'd like

good luck then!
