Let's see...
Rocktron / Egnater IE4 - thick, but very grainy. Nice cleans
Peavey Rockmaster - just OK, but for $80, a lot of bang for the buck.
Engl E530 - I liked this one. Tight and very crunchy but a bit thin sounding.
Engl E570 - loved it at first, but the disconnected feel bugged me.
Groove Tubes Trio - One of my faves. 3 great channels and some of the best cleans from any pre. Run in stereo with the Engl E530 it sounded massive.
Mesa Quad - a noisy pain in the ass to dial in.
VHT GP3 - Too tight and dry for me. Sterile. Would be good for heavy rhythm playing.
