Hey guys,

I've made a small, totally unscientific high gain shootout.
Meaning, I didn't use the same IR for all, they are differently EQ'd etc.

Also there is no bass guitar, so I know, in a real mix the guitars would be too fat.

Anyway enjoy, and excuse the shitty playing :D

Gear:
Gibson 57 w/ Duncan Distortion Bridge
Maxon OD 808 (Level cranked, Tone at 12 o'clock and Drive 0)
Torpedo Reload w/ Ownhammer IRs (Diezel 4x12, didn't use the same IR for all amps though)

SLO lead channel: https://clyp.it/tgfdamfi
SLO crunch channel: https://clyp.it/fuqq0jpu
Mesa Trem-o-verb: https://clyp.it/c42pyjw2
Diezel VH4S: https://clyp.it/0yeusym2

Or just go to this link, you'll be able to compare them directly: https://clyp.it/user/m0s5lans#

What IR did you use on the tremoverb? How many tracks? Sounds good.

The VH4 is the favorite here as well. Nice tones in every case though!

Thanks guys! :)

@slyym It was the OwnHammer_412_DZL-RL_V30-EN_EL34_Studio-HG-02 :) This is from an older pack, the Ownhammer V2 I think (High Gain Essentials or something). It was double tracked.

Edit: Added the Mesa Mark IV w/ 808: https://clyp.it/ji0p5xe5
Normally I don't boost that amp, did it here anyway for consistency

All good VH4 last place for me other two tied. They all sound similar as your using an 808.

All of them sound extremely close. SLO lead sounds a touch brighter than the others and the VH4 sounds a bit tighter than the others. Outside of that can't hardly tell a difference.
