I know Hall and Oates probably isnt everyones bag here on this forum, but this has been going since 2007??? How the heck is it I just found it today thanks to a guy on BaM?? Talk about Musicianship...(is that a word?? LOL) My wife and I kinda grew up on Hall and Oates, as they were HUGE when I was in high school...

Hall and Oats are at top of the heap. I saw a show on TV about their online broadcast but haven't watched an episode yet.

Dude............

Formite MikeHickey played at those for awhile, was Hall's tech

And more importantly, forumite Mike Hickey played with Carcass, Cathedral and Venom and wrote a kickass column for one of the guitar mags a while back. He rips! And he's a Charvel freak.

I am just sitting here watching and watching and watching!! I cant believe its been online for years and hasnt attriculated to guitar forums everywhere!! The Jim Beam thing was cool from this month and John Rzeznick episode is REALLY cool. FOr a pop band I really really dig GooGooDolls and always wanted to play some of thier tunes but the crazy tunings are just mind numbing...LOL

Totally bitchin that we have guys on the forum associated with these guys!! They all seem so totally down to earth!

Great show...I watched when Mike was involved. I recently saw a live H&O show on TV where you could see Mike popping in and out while changing guitars, etc.

I haven't worked there in about a year, but it was a great gig and the food was great, as well as the musicians that came to jam. The sketch was, we would set all the gear up the night before, then go over tunes with Daryl, then the next day the guest would arrive...walk in and start playing pretty much as you see on the show. Some of my highlight guests were Smokey Robinson, Monte Montgomery, Todd Rundgren and the Doors dudes. I always got to jam a bit with everyone that came to the show since I did all the soundchecking for Daryl. He is an amazing singer to stand next to, I have a definite opinion on who can and can't sing after working with him! I sat in on a couple of shows and it was a blast, aside from having to work at the same time as having to play.

I just cant imagine doing something like this as a full time gig. I get to get on the phone at 3 am with people who barely speak any english at all and configure routers (crap on the internet) all night long....

Although I am sure you meet great people every day, I am sure you also meet Hustlers Asshole of the Month every once in a while too...LOL

great post, gonna check out some more videos on there , solid musicians

Thanks for the comments, LFDH is a great show for sure, when former music director T Bone Wolk passed away last year I decided to move on, as he was my close friend and things weren't the same without him there.

I've been watching this for about a year or so, my fave was probably the Rob Thomas show. He's really a great vocalist.
