What are you guys using for a TV watching, noodle amp. Curious about anything from a Peavey Vyper 15 to maybe a Blues Junior with a good pedal etc. We're talking jangly lower overdrive and saggy blues, to 70's Hard rock, to 80's Metallica. Is maybe just s decent clean combo and pedals the way to go? A nice, swampy reverb wouldn't hurt. Sure seems like there are some killer pedals for clean amps right now. Open to tube or SS. Plus it could give me another rabbit hole to go down for a while

I use a little Roland Cube. Nice easy n light.

+1 on the Roland cube. Lately I've been boosting the British stack model or whatever it's called with my SD1 for singing sustained noodling :).

Used to sit with my full rig next to my tv, lmao.

Then I wound up using a computer as my media hub. That lead to just firing up garageband.

These days it's bias.

Ever since I got a Boss Eband, I don't even fire up my amps at home anymore. It inconspicuously sits beside my chair looking like a radio...sounds great, can cop just about any tone, and has cool rhythm tracks to jam over. It's essentially like a stripped down mini-AxeFx for practicing/low volume jamming with the additional bonus of a rhythm machine.

I have a Fender Mustang 2, but awaiting a jam up connector to go with Bias instead.

Without a doubt I would go with Yamaha THR10. I love mine.

Unfortunately I don't have an iPad so Bias is out and I definitely want to avoid having to use headphones. Ill have to see If I can find a Roland Cube to demo. I have tried one of those Yamaha's and thought it sounded terrible.

Just checked that and it actually seems like a great idea. Very versatile.

I dig my peavey vypyr. One of those things that you just keep around because its so useful.

How about the Yamaha THR series and specifically the THR10X? I played through the THR10X and it is an awesome little amp. I heard the THR10C and gets some great classic rock tones ala The Rolling Stones.

I was thinking that too but it looks like the OP didn't jive with the one he played. I've wanted to give one a whirl since I saw this demo

WOW, I just played one again on Saturday and I loved it. Loved it the first time I played it too. I will probably by one soon. I do have a Peavy Vyper 30 that is pretty cool, but the Yamaha THR10X is the shit!!

Was waiting for someone to mention this line of home-amplification systems. Rave reviews worldwide, seem solid. Of course, being RT, the ubiquitous answer should be:

All with quick-release connection cables, for ease of transportation and mobility from room to room

Vox valvetronix vt30 Has a few modeled amps. Great tape echo sim. imho

I use a pocket pod and ear buds, works perfect, and there's enough presets and tones to cover any genre.

No doubt about it , try the fender super champ xd out. It sounds great for playing at home and is light and affordable. I also use or use a bogner duende for that and it sounded great but they are expensive to have for a practice amp.
