I think I'd go with a Radial A/B box and a fender twin, personally. You can find silverface (late 60s to early 80s) twins locally through craigslist for $550 where I'm at, or spend a few more bucks and get a blackface reissue. BTW, if you go with an A/B box, the Radial is awesome. Avoid at all costs the Morley. It's a tone sucking sonic anchor. The Radial works well.

Thank you so much everyone especially shark and mill house I am going to buy that m-80 preamp unfortunely my impatience got to me at gc and i bought the digitech thingy too much programming though it'lll be going back oh well

Should work great. Doesn't matter that the loop is parallel since you aren't sending a signal to the Recto input when doing the clean. How good it sounds will depend on the loop, pre, A/B box, and mixer. As long as none of those suck tone you'll be fine. Lots of guys run stuff this way. Try the A/B box first with nothing in the loop (B will have nothing attached) just to see if it sounds the same as when not there. Then if that is good add the mixer in the loop. Check tone. If your Recto tones are unaffected then add the pre.

what exactly is the line mixer doing?

well since you now have two Preamp signals (the Recto send for your gain, and the M80 for your Clean) you have to mix those down to a single output which will go to your fx Return on the Recto.

Thinking about it - try the out of the pre into the loop return of the Recto. Since that loop is parallel you would only hear what the A/B switch selects. Only issues might be bleed or ground loops, but I doubt it. Then you'd only need the A/B switch.

Here's what I would do:
Use a Radial Headbone TS (http://www.tonebone.com/tb-headbone-ts-using.htm)
Path 1/A = Recto to Radial Headbone TS (http://www.tonebone.com/tb-headbone-ts.htm) to speaker cab.
Path 2/B = Any chorus/delay pedals you want into an EH 22 Caliber or 44 Magnum to Radial Headbone TS to speaker cab.
Radial Headbone has Slingshot remote control if you want to keep speaker cable runs short. Simple, inexpensive solution with minimal components.
I have the Headbone VT (all-valve) and it works like a charm.

ok so would that work with the fender preamp and i don't want to lug around two heads
