I’ve had my Steinberg UR824 for about 20 years, and it’s time for something new.

I use a PC/Cubase -

My main requirements are seamless integration with Cubase, at least 4 line inputs and 4 line outputs. Great converters. I don’t need any DSP/FX/Preamps.

Whatcha got?

Behringer UMC1820 for me. Been using mine for over 5 years with no problem

I've been using an Audient Evo 8; with Ableton Live Suite, for many years.

but for my computer guitar rig, I've been using an Arturia MiniFuse:1 - simple and sounds good, it was $99 IIRC a few years ago. They have a few more MiniFuse (2, 4) but I only needed one guitar input. Nothing fancy, but works great for me.

SSL 12 is supposed to be good, check out some of the interface vids on yt but depends on your budget. I like RME but its pricey.

After ins and outs I really like to focus on zero or almost zero latency monitoring as a deciding factor. Also having an adat in for more expansion is a biggie

Honestly, price isn’t a super big concern. Just want to have it fit my needs. I did look at SSL and RME, though. The SSL 12 doesn’t have line ins that bypass the preamp either.

I cant remember which one but in one of the interface shootouts a guy lists those that bypass the preamp on the line in. There weren't very many but if you hadn't seen it yet I recommend trying to find it. It was like best of 2024 or something with a lot of interfaces.

I'm also using an Audient but its from 2020. I can't figure out why when I record my guitar amp, it always sounds like shit. Can't get it to sound good regardless of where I put the SM57 on the speaker. The Mic No Mo I also bought, doesn't sound much better into the Audient.

Found it, looks like the ssl12 bypasses the preamps when you select line inputs. This may be out of date but its only a year old

RME are the best but expensive. I looked at SSL but they are high latency. I’ve been looking at the Presonus Quantum line and they look good.
