Looking for Marshall speaker cab wire

Anyone know what I can find one of these? it's from a Marshall cabinet connecting the speakers inside.

Time to learn, it's super easy search some youtube videos.
 
There is nothing special about that cable or connections. You don't have to solder, use some crimp on fittings and go for it.
 
Use a thicker gauge wire and just make a good connection then solder. You don't have to be an amp tech to solder speaker wire, it will surprise u how easy it is.

That's right. Especially easy in cabs, where you have plenty of room unlike the control cavity of a guitar.

You literally just get the wires hot and melt a dollop of solder into it. If the wire is hot enough, the solder will sink in between the strands and you're set. You should be able to find and iron and solder for under $10.

It's an essential skill for the gear junkie. :thumbsup:

Yeah, 14-16 AWG speaker wire and T push connectors and you're done

Do learn to solder, but don't try it on a speaker unless you have some experience
One drop of solder on that cone and your speaker will be ruined

Don't be afraid to try. Once you do it a couple of times you will beat yourself up for not learning/doing it yourself sooner.......it's that easy.
 
Well I have done it guys. And I suck at it. Haha I have dripped solder on speakers, used too much solder etc. I'm just looking for these cables to hook up some speakers in an old Marshall cab.

No damage just a sloppy mess. :doh:
 
Keep your speaker contacts pointed towards the center of the cabinet. Also, lay a sheet of aluminum foil of the speaker below if you are working on the top speakers.

You can also put a sheet of foil under the speaker contacts and over the cone if you're soldering with the cone flat on the floor.

You get the idea with the foil…….
 
I always solder. It's the added security. Sure those snap on connectors will most likely never pop off.

He thing is if they do your very expensive amplifier is dead. Not worth the risk to me when were talking about five minutes of soldering.


I'll admit I use some really crazy wire in my cabinets. Huge gauges , solid core etc...

I even have one cabinet wired with 10 gauge pure silver wire. Super expensive lmao.

I will second the largest gauge you can fit is worth it. I notice the differences.
