Looking for a reverb pedal to be used in the loop, both clean and high gain.

I checked ebay and see prices all over the place.

I am NOT a verb junky....just looking for a little bit on my tone.

The cheaper the better, but I don't want something that is going to mess with my sound.

Thanks!

IN!

Are the Hardwire pedals good? I've never liked Digitech products, or atleast the ones I've heard/used haven't been great.

Wait a few months, TGP is all over the Strymon Blue Sky reverb, but it may pass and bargains may be had...now that the El Capistan tape echo is out...

but what do you consider cheap? The Tech 21 Boost RVB is good for the price IMO, but I prefer the TC Electronic Nova Reverb (well, mine is in my Nova System and G-System...but not cheap).

The Blue Sky reverb is KILLER but you're not going to get one under $250 anytime soon. For around 100 bucks the Digitech hardwire is a pretty good choice.

if your on a real tight budget the Art MR1 is a steal if you can find one. They come up on Ebay all the time, I picked one up for about $20. You cant kick it on and off like a pedal But I don't mind, I just leave it on all the time since my amp doesn't' have reverb.

Do you have the Blue Sky? Do you think its worth the money? That shimmer effect on it has really caught my ear, and the all analog path for the dry signal seems like an awesome feature as well

TC Electronic Nova Reverb fairly transparent. I leave mine on in my fx loop. If I was going to spend the money I would get a Demeter stereo spring reverb pedal…but I dont have $400+ to through at a pedal. I really like Spring reverb units.

I am not sure what type of reverb pedal you are looking for. There are the 1 or 2 knob basic reverb pedals and then the many knob versions. I have one of each. For a good solid reverb, the Hermida Reverb is great. $100 new, one knob. Doesn't mess with your tone. The Spring Chicken and Tech21 Boost Rvb are also supposed to be nice.

For the more versatile reverb, I had the Line 6 Verbzilla, but sold it in favor of the Digitech Hardwire RV-7. The Verbzilla sounded good, but needed its own power supply, was heavy, knobs felt cheap, and didn't have a good bypass if you ran it out front (was fine in my amps with effects loop). I really like the RV-7, they are pretty easy to come by used.

EH holy grail reverb. You can get them used on ebay for way under a hundred dollars

Nothing wrong with the Boss RV-3 and Boss RV-5.

There's an RV-5 for $60 on GC used.
