Looking to boost my slightly driven amp

Already have something that will boost for leads, I just want to boost my slightly overdriven amp to get more thicker and fatter rhythm tones. I was thinking of getting a zvex box of rock or a fulltone plimsoul. which would do a better job?

Not sure about the Plimsoul but the Box of Rocks is a full on distortion pedal. Boost like the Timmy, BB /AC or RC, SHO, Fitzo (what I use) sound like more of what you are after.

The Distortron is more versatile than the Box of Rock IMO. I had one but traded it for an OCD. The OCD will do what you want. Never tried the Plimsoul. Kinda looks like it adds distortion on top of an OCD.

I use my amp on the verge of breakup and hit it with the OCD. Works very well in that situation. Dynamic and feels more amplike than a pedal.
